However, in the 1990s after the period of financial hard time, the house was acquired by the Gucci group in 2001, after Tomas Maier creative director of the brand helped it to return back to its original glory. With distinguished styles and forms, the brand conveys a sense of exclusiveness, elegance and craftsman skills that gives way to distinctive product line defined by the intertwined motif without using any particular logo which is the trademark of this brand. The first eyewear collection from the house of Bottega Veneta was launched in March 2003.
